Annual Conference of University Alumni Centers of the Czech republic and Slovakia 2025

On September 12, 2025, the Conference of University Alumni Centers of the Czech Republic and Slovakia was held at the University of Economics in Prague, organized by the VŠE Alumni Center. Since the establishment of the University Alumni Centers group, this has been the third annual conference, with a record number of participants from universities across both the Czech Republic and Slovakia this year. The conference provided an opportunity to share experiences, gain mutual inspiration, and jointly explore possible directions for alumni agendas at universities.

The rich program offered lectures by professionals, as well as joint discussions and space for questions. The first speaker was Bc. Sylwia Říhošková from the University of Technology in Brno, who presented on the topic Approach to Alumni Agenda at BUT. This was followed by a presentation entitled Stay connected: A Community Approach to Building Relationships with the University by Ing. Mgr. Ivana Bauerová from the University of Hradec Kralove. The third lecture, on behalf of the UTB Alumni Club in Zlín, was given by Ing. Hana Záhorovská from Tomas Bata University. The conference concluded with Ing. Simona Krivá, with whom the VŠE Alumni Center has established long-term cooperation, who shared experiences with alumni from the European Council for Nuclear Research CERN on the topic A Not Quite Typical Alumni Network: CERN and Its Alumni Engagement Strategies in Practice.

Throughout the event, participants had the opportunity to actively discuss the topics presented and contribute their own experiences. The conference also included a joint lunch at the Umbrella Pizza Bar, where participants enjoyed a meal and plenty of space for networking.

Representatives of the University Alumni Centers will continue to meet regularly in a virtual environment. We are pleased that the group is continuously expanding, and we believe that future meetings will also bring inspiration and valuable information to its members.
