Alumni Wednesday: EMCO – The Story of a Czech Family Business / September 20th /

We invite you to the first lecture in the Alumni Wednesday series in the winter semester of 2023/2024, which we will kick off with the theme “EMCO – The Story of a Czech Family Business.” The lecture will be presented by Zdeněk and Martin Jahoda, father and son, both graduates of VŠE (Zdeněk from FIR, Martin from FBA). The event is organized by the VŠE Alumni Center in cooperation with the Faculty of Business Administration and the Faculty of International Relations. You can participate either in person at VŠE or online.

Lecture Topic: Would you like to learn more about the successful family business of the Emco company, a leader in the Czech market exporting its products to 50 countries worldwide? What is it like when business is a family affair? Come listen and ask questions. You will hear everything directly from the source. Zdeněk and Martin Jahoda, father and son, graduates of FIR and FBA at VŠE, look forward to meeting you. You will learn more about the company’s beginnings in the 90s, the transition to the second generation, and current business challenges.
